Privacy policy

In short: the calculators send your figures nowhere, and the site uses no cookies, no audience measurement and no advertising. Below are the details the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) requires for https://ypologismos.com.

For data protection matters, write to the same address: contact@ypologismos.com. No data protection officer has been appointed, as the GDPR does not require one at this scale of processing.

2. The calculators send nothing

Every calculation runs in your browser. Your salary, children, age, car or property details are not transmitted to any server, not stored and not linked to any identifier. There are no accounts and no sign-up.

One thing worth knowing: after you change a field, the calculator writes the values into the page address so you can share a ready-made calculation. That link contains your figures, your salary for instance, and remains in your browser history, so only send it to people you want to see them.

3. What is actually processed

Hosting provider logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. Like any server, it receives the visitor’s IP address and technical request data on every visit; according to GitHub’s documentation, visitors’ IP addresses are logged and stored for security purposes. We have no access to those logs and do not use them. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)): serving the page and protecting it from abuse. GitHub sets the retention period in its privacy statement.

Emails

If you write to us, we process your address and message to reply and, where needed, to correct a calculation (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). We keep correspondence for no more than three years after the last exchange.

Audience measurement and advertising

Today the site uses no audience measurement tool (no Google Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, nothing else) and shows no advertising. It loads no fonts or scripts from other domains.

4. Who receives data

We do not sell, rent or share personal data for marketing. The only recipient of technical data is the hosting provider; emails pass through our mail provider, which processes them on our behalf.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

GitHub, Inc. is based in the United States, so technical request data may be processed outside the EEA. GitHub describes in its privacy statement the GDPR transfer mechanisms it relies on.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (GDPR arts. 15 to 21). Write to contact@ypologismos.com; we answer free of charge within one month. As we keep no user accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you beyond any correspondence, and we will tell you so plainly.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The controller is established in France, so the lead authority is the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (www.cnil.fr). If you live in Greece you can also turn to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr), under GDPR article 77.

7. No profiling

A calculator result is an operation you request, carried out on your device with your own data. It has no legal effect and is not an automated decision within the meaning of GDPR article 22. We build no user profiles.

8. Changes

Before switching on any audience measurement or advertising, we first update this page and the cookies page. Where the law requires consent, you will be asked before anything is stored on your device. The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and no user database is kept.
